Heyo! I’m Evan!
I am a designer and artist with a keen eye for detail through a creative lens. I am currently in my third year of Interaction Design at Sheridan College with an interest in user interface, research, and graphic design. I enjoy working with others and am always eager to learn new methods, programs, and skills.
I love art, photography, travel, and culture. I carry my sketchbook and DSLR around with me as much as I can to get the best shots and sketches of my surroundings. You can find me at a museum, a cool cafe, or even just taking in a nice garden. In my freetime, I also enjoy playing multiplayer games with my friends or story rich RPGs by myself on a cozy night,

My experiences have shaped me as a designer.
As a multimedia designer and as a person, I value design extensively. I believe design to be at the very core of every facet of our lives. Even as a kid, I have always been fascinated by the way things work, look, and feel. Experiences are everything to me; I'm the type of person who wants to watch a movie again to see it from a new perspective, or ride a rollercoaster again now that I know all the twists and turns. Art and design has shaped who I am as a person and still influences me to this day. Through the photos I take, the media I watch, the games I play.

I believe that finding the fun in every project is the difference between creating something for a quota, and creating something iconic.
In my work, I aim to implement quality design principles and usability practices to ensure my work is aesthetically appealing, accessible/usable, novel, and interesting. These core aspects drive my work and learning in the field. What drives me, however is by putting a bit of myself into every project. Whether that is through personal flourishes in illustrations, taking the extra time to add just the right amount of extra detailing, or covering subjects that I’m personally interested in. I am fueled by an internal engine that pushes me to create as best as I can; I design for others and also for myself; I feel to truly understand others you also have to understand yourself. Individuality is paramount in the digital age. It is what sets us apart from Artificial Intelligence. By acknowledging my interests and skills as a person in my work, I can in turn channel that energy into my designs.

I design because I want to become the conduit for the types of designs I've enjoyed so much growing up.
When it comes to creating, my goal is to deliver work that is meaningful and memorable. I want to leave my mark and pave the way forward by creating things that matter and hold significant weight. I like to think of Design as a bridge, with me as the architect creating it to deliver experiences to users.
